Hi can anyone recommend a good Insurance company that does agreed valuations? Also anyone know what the usual process is for getting that valuation? Do I pluck a figure from my head with supporting photos?
I've had several Agreed Value policies from Adrian Flux. They ask for a receipt if you've bought the vehicle in the last 3 months, photos & mileage, & details of restoration work or improvements you've carried out. You propose a value. In my case each time I've done some research online on what I think it would cost to buy a similar replacement vehicle, expecting that they might haggle, but in each case they've accepted my proposal. It costs £15 extra to the standard premium. I've not yet had to make a claim, but the process and paperwork seem very straightforward, and I think its worth the peace of mind. A friend had a huge battle to get paid out after another driver wrote off his Lexus. The insurers offered a derisory amount and admitted there wasn't a single comparable car available in the UK for that money.
Classicline still want 6 pictures (strangely) even with an SOC valuation. Not sure why but there it is
Not Unreasonable for them to see what Russell has valued, (other companies are the same) doesn't cost anything to send them, just got to send mine as I have just had mine valued by Russell, ready for renewal in the middle of this month, Renewal increased by £35 this year, still way way cheaper of RH by over 120 beer tokens
