Boot Light Wiring.

Hi All, got both sides of the loom run into the boot and just going through everything, The boot light wiring is currently giving me a headache. There are no wires left on the harness at the rear to connect up the boot light, there is no sign this wiring loom has been mucked about with. All the wires for petrol pump, sender are there on the right hand loom and then the one that comes across from the left has all the correct wires for the rear tail, the two black connectors are for the rear number plate lamps and that leaves no other wires to run to the boot lamp & switch. Any suggestions ?

The Loom is the later version with the single wire door switches.

Without ripping my car apart ISTR that is in the right side loom, it’s a purple wire. Perhaps it leaves the loom further up than the fuel pump/sender wires.

Probably.. The purple is the power and the purple white goes back to the switch, which grounds it to turn the lamp on..

On the left side there is a red/black which feeds through the bootlid to power the numberplate lamp..

It’s ok chaps I found the issue the purple wire had broken just where it comes out of the loom by the fuel sender wires all ok now !
