T.B.F. Having the radiator rebuilt at a traditional radiator services place is really worth while & shouldn’t cost that much.

Last time I enquired it was only £140 + vat for a new core.

However, have also had success using strong chemicals (acids) left soaking in the core overnight.

need to pressure test afterwards though…. Makes a rebuild seem worth the money to be fair

just bought a kit car all the engine in bits going to be a long job can I ask who you used for the Radiator repair? Only been on here a while but would be a good idea to have some sort of directories for reliable companies and different products used by members to do the repairs! Look forward to some helpful advice

Noticed you are quite a few miles away from the midlands.

My best recommendation is for ‘Wolverhampton Radiators’

Have had a good experience for radiator repairs and also fuel tank repairs from them… reasonable prices too.

Just had a TR6 rad done by Kempston Radiators near Bedford. Good quality and they have been in business for years, didnt bat an eyelid when we enquired.
