White Stag in Dartford today

Driving up East Hill in Dartford early this evening, I was driving up, other Stag driving down. Driver waved.

I wonder what the Villa bar at the bottom of East Hill is now called?

Pre easy-late licences, that place (like so many in large towns)had an un-official late licence with police and ambulances waiting around the corner for when it inevitably kicked-off. Simple approach, allow everyone to buy a late drink without entrance feein one place and manage the fall-out.

hi Dave; first building on the left when you go up from the one-way system.

A complete khazi really but back then, it was popular from 10.30 onwards when everywhere else was dinging for last orders

Yep, that's the one, I have never seen it open and I have been in the area for 10 years or so now!
