Door Lock (Outer Catch)

Hi All,

I am fitting the doors so have dug out the door locks. Both are working and seem ot have a good action, however The Drivers Side lock does not seem to have a spring (circled in blue on the passenger side catch) that clicks the latch open when you operate the lever ? Sure enough the lever does not spring back when you operate but it would still release as you pull the door open not sure if this is correct though.

Hi Philip, yes I have seen that. Just a bit confused on this outer catch.

There are 2 or 3 for sale on eBay so I looked at the pictures and they all have the spring you are referring to.
Think there was a driver side nos one but not sure if MK1 or MK2.
