    Hoods and Trims.

    Had a very bad experience with South East Trimmings.

    He was supose to service and overhaul my frame and a new soft top fitted.
    It came back with the frame just black rattle can painted. Parts of the frame missing.
    Stich lines in the wrong place so the rear hopes were in the rong position and therefore hood wouldnt fit.
    Stiching coming loose even when not fitted.
    Front rail not padded and the metal front trim not correctly riveted on and missing rivets and therefore the rubber wouldnt fit it.

      I just picked my new frame and hood and had my seats refilled with foam, Jim even sorted out my saggy carpets. Absolutely fine my experience of using him, was given his name by 4 different stands at the NEC classic show and the SOC stand where I signed up. A stag was on display there that had been done by Jim and it looked tight and the frame good. Good communication dropped me at the station on the way home and picked me up from the train station to pick the stag up as well, went through how to store the new hood and could not say how good he was with me. So on my experience I would recommend him.

        Admin, this thread should be removed, I have spoken to Jim at SE Trimmers. He offered the OP the choice of bringing it to him to be fitted FOC or a full refund two years after the hood and frame was supplied and this was not taken up...

          To be fair, if I had a bad experience with any trader then I would not risk giving them a second chance. One strike and you're out.

            Admin have already removed my post, which was polite and genuine. Where is the consistency and transparency relating to comments about traders? If we cant have a level playing field, we might as well ban all comments on traders as it doesn't seem to be serving members very well.

              Im not aware of any post of yours being removed. Mods have swapped emails on another post today and no mention of yours.

                  Ah you’re dragging something up from ages ago. Well done but most of us have moved on. Dealt with at the time. Feel free to add the very value of which you speak rather than stirring the pot.

                    December is not ages ago and I had no knowledge or explanation of when or why.
