Spin off oil filter conversion - which one?

I want to fit a spin off oil filter conversion, due to my inherent laziness and getting an arm full of oil every time! I went down this route a couple of years ago, bought a kit, can't remember which one, then spoke to the guys down at Faversham. They put me off the idea so much I flogged the kit on e-bay. Now having read the posts on here, it doesn't seem to be such a bad idea, the maintalking point seems to be around the actual filter used, but is there any difference in the kits?

    Advice, views welcome.

Not a lot Keith, but they are a great idea, and a lot less messy. My Stag and Vitesse 2 litre both have Paddocks kits, and they are great. The Vitesse one has an amazing effect on the oil light - goes straight out now, but would take up to eight seconds before......

there were some quality issues a few years back. The inner o ring didn't seal because it was too far out from the face of the block snd therefore the oil went unfiltered. Eek

Personally and having been there i won't bother. Twice my adapter came loose at the block which meant that i had to trash a filter to get to the centre nut. This coupled eith the worry of unfiltered oil prompted me to throw in the towel and resort to a lifetime of oil up the sleeve..

I think most of the regular suppliers sell the Mocal adaptor, most of the difference will be in the filter they supply with it, i stick with Unipart - GFE173's
