I've got the Puddle Lamps, the Footwell Lights and the Overhead light in the T bar all working on the door switches, and expected the switch on the centre console to switch the interior lights on when I'm sat in the car trying to see a map etc, but all it does is extinguish all the above lights when the doors are open. This may be useful for stealth approaches, but its not much help to me. Can anyone explain or suggest a solution please?

Yes it’s difficult to help unless we know which of the two versions you have, only advice I have is to check the wiring at the switch as it’s easy for those to be mixed up, especially the 2 wires with the permanent 12v (mk1) or ground(mk2) as they are the ones that power the lights when the switch is “ON”Terry Hunt, Wilmington Delaware

Thanks. I've not found the 'Technical' Section before. I found what seems to be a very clear explanation of how the lights are wired up, which isn't at all straightforward to a non-electrician like me, but I think I can see where the probable fault lies. Will check tomorrow when its light and warmer! Also found a very helpful guide to Wiper problems, - another job for the winter!
 Cheers
