Somewhere I have seen a picture showing which carb. feeds which pots - but I now I need it I can't find it. Does anyone know the one I mean and where to find it?

I used to have it as well but also cannot find it! I only saw this from a very old post:
The Stag V8 engine is fed by two Zenith Stromberg 175CD SEV carburettors mounted on a two-plane manifold. The right carburettor feeds the lower plane, which connects cylinders 1, 4, 6, and 7. The left carburettor feeds the upper plane, which connects cylinders 2, 3, 5, and 8.

Amazing that not even Super Moderators would refer to the technical section!
Here is the link to DZP's drawing which I made for the technical document:

As it happens I did look in the tech section Drew but nothing obvious from the section titles hit me, didn’t occur to me to actually open the tips and tricks document as the diagram is neither but the dig is noted, if not appreciated.Originally posted by dasadrew View PostAmazing that not even Super Moderators would refer to the technical section!

I'll give you that Paul, and I myself couldn't remember where I posted the diagram, but there are only 5 posts with carburettor in the title in the Technical Section and it was in the second post I looked at.Originally posted by Goldstar View Post

Still, it's just a sign of the times which I'll have to get over with that today's world is "ask a mate" (Facebook) or search the planet for a text bite (Google). The sad bit about me is that this is only one of my gripes about the way the planet and its predominant primates are developing!

I just found the one in the 'carbs. tips and tricks', which I think was the one I saw a few years back and was originally looking for. A simple answer is 'each carb does the outer pots on its side, and the inner pots on the other side'.
When I was looking last I did find a post about running the engine with not all the bits and pieces attached - which I now can't find. So I've had the carbs. off 3 times now trying to get the engine to start - do I have to refit everything before trying to start the engine? If not, which pipes / tubes need to be blocked? I assume the vacuum advance needs to be fitted, but there are 2 tubes which feed into the air filter (fuel over flow and vacuum for the flapper valve?) - do I just block them off the flapper valve feed?
