Hi all , it looks like I have to remove my drivers side exhaust tubular manifold to access a possible leaking oil pump , my question is : is it possible to remove this without raising the engine? Regards Graham

Removing and replacing that exhaust manifold is rather tricky due to the proximity of the lower steering column, oil pump, etc. BTDT. I would investigate other options first.
Are you sure the oil pump is leaking? Drips from there can often be traced back to a leaky camshaft cover gasket. Or the oil transfer cover above the pump. The pump can be removed if you remove the distributor, complete with the hexagonal drive shaft. A bit of a pain, but quicker and easier than removing the manifold.Dave

Confess it’s not with tubular manifolds…. But had to do a few on and offs with in situ iron (rhs) manifold recently.
for this job I found that a 9/16” deep & standard depth hex socket with a swivel head & non swivel head 1/4” ratchet was ideal. The ratchets were also retro fitted with 3/8” drive mechanisms.
the ratchets were snap-on. Other makes are available.
the job was a few minutes off & a few minutes back on.
made a lot easier with those tools.
a standard 3/8 ratchet, swivel ratchet or stubby swivel ratchet might also work too, but converted 1/4” are really compact & ideal.
