I reckon that could be a winner John:dude:

Looks about the right size to screw into where the grease nipple fits.

I use such a little part to center the P.D.W.A. switch when I bleed the brakes.

        Nobody is getting close yet.

The bolt is 3/8" UNF. The pin is 1/8" x 1/4". I made it by drilling the 3/8" bolt and tapping it for a 2BA set screw, which was then cut off and, with the larger bolt in a drill press, machined down with a file. The head of the 3/8" bolt was cut off and a slot cut for a screwdriver, but this was not actually necessary. Finger tight was sufficient, and preferable to avoid damage.

          Spot on Klaus.

The number of times I have bled the brakes over the years and pressed too hard, moving the shuttle, then having to do the other end to centralise it again. This little tool held the shuttle in its centre position allowing me to bleed away without fear of moving it. Did the whole job this morning in 45 minutes, including removing andreplacing each wheel.

How about a little pat on the back, for I did mention "bleed nipple"
