Soft top

Bought a second hand soft top the other day and on Saturday I spend all day fitting it, only for the bloody thing not to quite fit.
When I attemptedto lock it into the top it wouldn't quite reach
Is there anyway it could be stretched to fit. The only thought I had was to soakit and then try to force it!!!
Could anybody give me some advice please.

Is it just the front to back thats tight or are the sides short? Is the top black or does it look grey?

Sometimes it just needs the back locking first, then lean on the front to get the levers locked in. Leave it for a couple of days and see if it loosens up a tad. Sometimes wetting (whilst under tension)also helps to relax the material.

try putting it up and leave the window unzipped. if you manage leave it like that (under tension)for a while. But DONT try and zip the window up whilst its under tension< it can seperate the zip.
