in short yes, but its tight!
Keep in mind that there were no gaskets originally, having said that I installed them.

I have tried both with and without gaskets on the exhaust manifolds and wouldn’t leave them out now. It’s difficult to get a gas-tight joint after 50 years of heat cycling distortion!Richard
