Follows on from my previous post regarding issues. It seems my Stag might have a leak in the gear box and power steering. I’ve been told that the automatic transmission fluid and power steering fluid is the same. For the automatic transmission the Haynes manual suggests a specification similar to Castro TQF. Is the liquid the same? And any advice or recommendations? Many thanks.

If you can't find Castrol TQF then Comma AQF is the same stuff - i.e. OK to use in older BW auto gear boxes, and usually cheaper:
1 litre for top up
or 5 Litre to keep on the shelf - if it is an older BW35 auto box they are usually pretty incontinent, especially if lkeft parked up for a few weeks at a time so 5 litres may be a more economical purchase in the long run. You can use it for the power steering as well.

I would hope so. The power steering really shouldn't be using/loosing any fluid. The auto box, assuming it is an incontinent BW35 like mine, may need a litre or so to bring the level back up if it hasn't been topped up for a while.
Make sure you understand the level checking procedure for the BW35 before you top it up. It is not as simple of adding fluid until it hits the mark on the dipstick. A quick search on here or a look through the ROM(workshop manual) will detail the procedure.
