Brake Caliper question

Spent my weekend in the garage stripping the complete front suspension off the bodyshell and only just noticed this, yet having owned my Stag for over 40 years !
On top of each brake caliper, is a small bolt sitting between the bleed valve and the hose. What is it for ? I've changed pads, bled the system many a time over the years when it was on the road but only noticed it having removed the caliper off the hub.

Most likely used for another car as the caliper was used on a few makes

As sujit says, it does seal another drilling into the fluid, it’s not just a bolt.

Yes, gathered another possible opening to the fluid chambers but strange how it seals simply with a bolt and the bolt head doesn't even sit flush with the body, yet lots of stories on here of people having trouble with pipes not sealing unless with a copper wash.

ISTR that it has a flare on the tip which does the sealing, rather like the tip of a bleed nipple.

I would think the end of that bolt at the end is similar in profile to a bleed screw
