    Photo's of dismantling my Stag

    I took loads of photo's while I was dismantling my Stag, I have loaded them all to my google photo's, and here is the link to them, some of you may find them helpful while you are tinkering or restoring your Stags

    I tried to take as many photo's as possible of everything I could, I did remove some things (like the heads) years ago and cant seem to find those photo's, but I think there is plenty here to help anybody stuck trying to remember how something goes together

    An excellent archive Kev, I wish I’d had the foresight to take so many pictures when I stripped mine!

      Having been a mechanic back in the day, I know what its like having to try and hide the handful of leftover bolts and nuts you cant remember where they go from the boss when the job is finished, thankfully these days we have digital photos

          Don't forget to keep the body tags as they are part of the car history

              Great archive Kev. I took photos as i was stripping mine down, but as i put the sub - parts or sections back together there's always the one photo needed ....... that I didn't take!!
              I'm sure yours will be a great source of reference, so thanks for sharing .

                Ok, I nicked a copy of your hood spring positions as my nearside frame pushes the spring out of the body clip when I put the hood down, thanks for sharing your photos

                  Cheers Kev, definitely come in handy. I did take some photos many years back when I stripped mine but I can't find most of them now, I'm hoping my memory serves me well in the future.
                  I also labelled all the wiring connectors in the engine bay but after decades in storage they have either faded or fallen off !! Doh !! So it's going to be a case of RTFM for me when I get to that stage

                    Extremely useful and very timely Kev, this week we have been looking for a reference to the original layout of the cables from the battery, along the right-hand chasis leg, around the transmission tunnel, and down to the starter motor. Thank you !

                      Great the photo's helped, I should have steam cleaned the car before I started stripping it though, photo's would have been clearer, but I think you can figure it out, as Wilf said, she was a mucky girl ..
