    Starter Solenoid Replacement

Please could anyone tell me if it is possible to change the solenoid without removing the starter motor? If so, how please?

And if not, how long should it take to change the starter motor roughly? Thanks

Its easy to remove Starter Motor with the right length extension bar (about 18 inches) from underneath.
Tubular manifolds may make it difficult.

Secret is to use ratchet on long extension bar from behind radiator and thread in over exhaust manifold top bolt
    Lower bolt is accessible

I have removed/replaced the solenoid with the starter in situ. The trickiest bit is getting the plunger reattached. Fiddly, but doable.

Tubular manifolds actually makes removal/replacement of the starter motor easier as it can be done with spanners.
