    Stag resto

    Hi all

Just to I introduce myself i have owned my stag for the past ten years ... she has been off road for the last eight years having body work restoration in my garage .

It's taken this long due to crippling depression and anxiety.. now i am on the home stretch . Unfortunately now she wont start .. the old fuel pump had packed in .so i purchased a new one from ld parts plus a new battery .

I am getting fuel to the fuel filter and beyond . She fires when you pour petrol in but sadly dies .

She is being resprayed next month and was hoping to drive her again she is a 1972 in white with 66k on the clock .

If there is anyone that could help me get her started i would appreciate this .

    Regards paul

maybe the carb float valves have stuck or become blocked?

disassembling and checking the float chamber valves may require new float bowl gaskets. 513705 part number (£3 each) But several levels of carburettor rebuild kits are available too… ranging from basic (£14) to comprehensive (£170)

join the Soc… it maybe that a local member can assist you.

        Hi Paul,
I'm just wondering if you are using fresh fuel.
What you have in the tank after 8 years will have degraded very badly.
