I fitted uprated springs in the pump from Classic Driving Developments. Reduces the assistance and makes it feel better at speed without too much compromise when manoeuvring.

Steering improvements - what have you done?

I looked into this and found a website which mentions you can't just change one thing like the shims. you need to change the shims and spring. The website explained that low speed was an issue like parking if you changed either separately or something like that. I have two Stags and have switched pumps between them. the auto has light steering. the manual has heavy steering. swapping the pumps didn't change the behavior so I'm not convinced the behavior is with the pump.
