I gave the Stag some TLC today and it rewarded me by starting to over charge :X
First thing today, I took it fora spin and it was running lovely. In particular, I was pleased with the volt meter (just under 14 volts) as my other toy appears to have a difficult to locate earth problem...
I changed a couple of things and the only thingconnected with the electrics was when I disconnected the coil to turn the engine over to get the new oil circulated. Taking it out for a run tonight and the volt meter was hard right, on the 15 volts, on anything but tick-over. Can running the car without the main feed to the disti affect the regulator/alternator or is it a co-incidence?
I changed the alternator about 4 or 5 years ago because of over-charging. That is probably only8-10k miles, so hopefully it doesnt need a new one already.
Any ideas?
