    During lockdown I rebuilt a waterpump for a local midlands member. I used an oem water pump seal ( not available from any stag parts specialists) and an rhp Swiss bearing.

    The cost to do this was £45 in parts.

    More recently I’ve just done the same and the cost to do this was £116 in parts.

    I don’t use the crappy parts, but sources used were identical.

    (Revington TR for seal , george lodge for bearing & a.n.other for the less important items)

    I paid £500 for an unmolested original AVO registration (PVX? Or PVM) RS 2000 mk1 a few decades ago!

      I'd noticed that the prices are rising - it's just cost me £200 for the seals and filters for a J-type overdrive rebuild and nearly £400 for the gearbox parts - and I had some bearings in stock.
