    Boot floor question

Will be welding the boot floor tomorrow, but a quick question as the areas below on my Stag were bodged to such an extent it was hard to see what was happening, but I think I understand, but a bit of clarification from those in the know would be appreciated.

So the boot floor will weld where it fits, but the cutout on the lower wing, I am assuming the boot floor welds to that (when I have the new wing section) and the bracket I made also welds to the lower wing section.

And just another question, the big holes in the floor pan (circled in red), are they there for any reason, I am assuming they are something to do with production, maybe access for spot welders for example, anyway, can I make round plates and weld those holes up ?

    Cheers

Thanks, I know, but I can cut a round bit of metal and just weld it in, save 24 quid plus postage

Pictures of the repair I did years ago, as you say the boot floor and rear wing all weld together where they fit.
