It's worth a phone call to Burlens - they know everything!
If you need to replace the brass tube, warming the aluminium casting helps a lot to ease the removal and refit. This also applies to the needle valve......

Afaiaa they are press fit.

can you post a picture of the ‘worse for wear ?’

They are pressed in, is yours bent or leaking? can be straightened up again quite easily. replacing them can be a bit of a swine. after battling with one for some time I gave up and selected another carb body from the huge stash and used that instead.
