    Paintwork

    Having had a few days in the Dales in the Stag, 450 miles on mostly twisting country lanes, the car needed a wash when we got back. After "leathering" down, including under the back of the hood, I usually go for a run to dry everything off properly. This time however I didn't and just allowed it to dry on the drive. Eventually got round to taking the hood down to discover the "fading" of the paint under the hood. Stag Paint.jpg
    Any suggestions how to rectify

    Must be cellulose then, will probably recover when it dries properly.
    Red is the worst colour for that to happen on, just like mine does. Only solution is to laquer it.

          I would leave it for a while before using T cut. I had a magnetic "GB" sticker on my boot lid last year for the Le Mans run - when I removed it there was a light mark in the paint where it had been - left it alone and after a few weeks it had gone.
          Header tanks - you can't beat a bit of bling.

            a bit off-topic, but a GB plate could get you a hefty fine since 2021. Mind you, never heard of it ever actually taking place.
            The answer isn't 42, it's 1/137

                Drew.
                I think a GB plate would only cause problems "Abroad" where they are no longer valid. It is perfectly acceptable to have one on your car in the UK / GB.

                  last time I looked LeMans wasn't in UK
