    Hood clip

The photo shows my offside rear hood clip, it's just a simple hook which doesn't work well. and makes getting the hood out of the well very difficult as it usually doesn't hold. The nearside clip is much more secure and locks in place. I don't know who made the hood and it looks very difficult to access the clip to replace with one of the StagWeber clips without taking the cover of. Any suggestions how to improve this in situ. Thanks.

    Steve

The frame could be from an early frame. I have one of those in my shed. The holes/slots for the regular later style lock are not there and will need to be drilled.

Thanks Sujit, that's what I feared. I guess I will just have to soldier on with it as it is.

It's easy. Just drill two 5mm holes on the RH side to match those on the left. They don't need to be slotted. Then you can fit the Stagweber catches both sides.

Thanks Chris, it might be easy for you but looks very difficult to me. I've come up with a temporary fix which is a small cable tie to keep the clip on the peg, this seems to work as it keeps the hood level when you pull it up.
