    15" Minilites

I have at last splashed out on some new 15" 6J Miniltes, which look great, I was concerned as to what tyre size I could use but finally went for the 205/65VR15, they fit perfectly with no problems, my guess is that would be about the biggest tyre you could fit on the Stag in it's standard form.

I had no real problems apart from one of the rear brake drums which had some raised lettering cast into it, this cought on the inside of the wheel and as I was tightening the wheel to the hub, I was also pushing the brake drum on to the back plate, some careful grinding sorted the problem out.

The car handles great, much more precise in corners, stable and quiet on the motorway.

Altogether I am delighted and would recommend anyone who might be thinking of converting to 15" wheels.

They do look very nice with 205's, i gave up looking for the challenger style stag alloys in 15", so have now fitted 205's to the standard stag alloy.

      Hi David,

Where did you get those? My TSW 'Minilights' are 5 years old and are now peeling lacquer :X:X

Yours look different as the wheel nuts aren't set into recesses like mine are.

          Hello David,

What is the offset (ET) on these 15" "Minilite" wheels?

          Kind regards, Dieter.

I am not sure as I had left all these details up to Minilite, I do know that if you do get this right, you will be into some problems with trye clearences against the wheel arches.

I am sure you can get this detail from Minilite.

              Hello David,

I guees the ET is embossed at the inside of the rims or to be found on the invoice.

              Kind regards, Dieter.

                Hi David

Do they come supplied with the centres and wheel nuts, or do you have to pay extra?

                  Hello David,

another point of interest would be whether the seat of the wheel nuts in the rims has a conically tapered size (with corresponding tapered washers) or is it simply cylindrical?

                  Kind regards, Dieter.
