    Pocket Sized Battery Boost Pack

With my 4-year warranty battery now 5 years old, and a trip to the Isle of Man looming, I looked into these micro-boost packs. I eventually bought a Ring RPPL200 - https://www.ringautomotive.com/en/product/RPPL200 - mainly with the mindset 'if I have one, I won't need it'. Well, I haven't needed it for my car - yet! But I did use it today on my neighbour's 1953 Jaguar XK120 who was at the same car show with a flat battery. The 'blurb' says it will start a petrol engine up to 3l, up to 6 times. I am pleased to report that it successfully started the 3.4l XK engine 4 times and, after plugging it into the USB socket in my Stag, was fully charged again in the 20 minutes it took to drive home, following the XK.

If you are considering a micro pack, this will fit the bill.

    Nice booster; very nice classic.

    Have you driven the xk120?

drives lots worse than it looks, especially for £100k.

Not driven it Julian, but have worked on it. Sorted his non charging problem for him today as well. Followed it home with owner's Son-in-Law driving it. He was very nervous to start with, but had a big grin when he got home. The car has an interesting history and is for sale at 80k.

a dreamy car in the perfect colour / trim combo. thank goodness I don't have a spare 80k else I would have to find out that I just don't fit in one.

            Xk 120 looks sublime.

A colleague took me out in his.

I was thrilled but it wasn’t that nice.

I like the idea of having one…, perhaps the reality is different?

I just checked and an xk 120 would fit in the garage.

Thanks for the recommendation on the Ring booster pack. I've just bought one and it's light and not bulky. Looks well made and only cost £40.48 on Ebay. A bargain I think.
