Hello Everyone,
I'm new to the forum, A year ago on the 23rd June 2023 i spent most of the day waiting for my stag to arrive, it finally did, all the way from Canberra Australia, After a 35 year absence of my last stag in the UK, I got the bug again and went on the hunt for another, Thinking to myself my chances of finding one would be limited ? i began to search the web and what do you know i found at least 9 of them up for grabs, i ended up with a 1976 pimento red auto, i bought the car site unseen, and had it transported to Brisbane, overall i would say i was lucky the car has run like a dream, with a few new parts, the piranha ignition died, so i replaced with a petronics ignitor 2, I've recently had the borg warner 65 to pieces (see pics) and put a rebuild kit through it, had the help from a mate that knows his way around auto gearboxes, the clutches were worn and also the pressure plate was in pieces, can you believe that the car drove perfectly before i pulled the box out, next job is the timing chains, i got a German set on the way from James paddock, must say I'm very happy with the service from James paddock, i have a YouTube channel with my journey with my stag https://studio.youtube.com/video/p21ZW4DLou8/edit here's the link to the fun and games with the gearbox, feel free to comment like share and subscribe, there's also a few more videos stag related and another build I've been working on for the last 7 years.
well, that's it from me
all the best
Simon
