Water in the offside footwell

Another problem with my recent acquisition, after the recent rain I noticed a puddle sitting on the rubber mat, I’ve looked for an obvious culprit but the only one I can find is under the grille in front of the windscreen, there was some leaf litter blocking the outlet in the bulkhead and there is a standing seal which had some loose sealant, is this where water would come in?

The off side lower corner of the screen is a favourite place for a leak, usually between the glass and the rubber. Some suitable clear sealant cured the problem on mine.

Wiper bezels have to be sealed too.
