    Fitting front bumper

Hi,i'm making good progress with my restoration now but i'm fitting new Stainless steel bumpers, the rear fitted perfectly but i notice the overriders are a fair bit bigger than my originals and just wondered if anyone had this issue of the front overriders touching the lower chrome strip!looking at photo's the originals appear to sit just below the chrome strip but i think i may have to space the bumper irons slightly with washers to keep the bumper straight and the overriders just up infront of the chrome strip!!does this sound right ??
    Thank's,Adrian

I have SS bumpers, no issues with overriders touching lower trim, they sit below it by at least 3/8".

Ditto, mine sit around 3/8" below as well. They are stainless bumpers. Don't think the overriders can sit anywhere other than where they do, i.e. no room for movement. However, I did note that where the bumper mounts bolt to the "chassis" legs on my car there are two sets of hols and mine are in the lower set.
