Club scheme is through RH Specialist Vehicle Insurance. Details in the magazine/website.

Some use other insurers such as ClassicLine (my insurers), etc.

I got unlimited mileage from Cherished at a very low price. Part of the Howdens group, same as RH.

          Thanks for the reply`s guy`s!
RH i`ve heard of but i`ll have to check out Classic line & Cherished. As i`m over 21 by a smidge(ok,plus huge margin) i`m hoping it`ll be reasonable

                Hi CT.
I”ve found RH uncompetitive for my daily, but that quote is amazing. I pay them under £300 for my Stag although with a lower valuation. Didn’t know that price of custard powder had increased so much.

Aviva, on comparison site was £354.?? for my 2015 c250 bluetec sport. all seem to have gone up, someone suggested to me that the increase might due to the cost of repair of electric cars, trying to keep the costs of electric cars down , as you might not buy one if the insurance was 3k+ and they might not meet their sales targets . The cost of electric car insurance should be higher as they cost more and need specialist repairers, but I don't have one so don't know.

                        U.K. insurance is a scam.

never had a reasonable conversation when needing to claim.

oh and comprehensive or fully comprehensive are terms that describes how deep they will scam you… nothing to do with ‘cover’

every payout has never been near / close to sufficient to reinstate to pre incident condition.

every claim has resulted in big premium hikes despite no fault.

…. protected no claims? Yep got that…. Never seems to be worth while.

missus car was stolen last night…..

Insurance … zero help so far.

                        African call centre…. Useless.

some while back my renewal doubled.

i asked the insurer to reconsider…. They would not.

used a broker who got it down to 50% of the renewal.

underwriter was the same…. No logic.

                          Yep,
I agree 100% with all of that! You have to have it but i`ve only ever heard of one satisfactory claim over a stolen Fiesta (my niece`s but i dont know what the following years premium was?) It`s a huge CON! I hope you get on ok with your claim!
                          All the best

Firstly, sorry to hear about your missus' car being nicked Julian. I have recently switched from Adrian Flux to to RH not because of price but because of two opposing experiences by West Yorkshire SOC members. The first concerns a write-off in Holland earlier this year when a young driver rammed into the back of our friend's Stag (he's ok thank goodness). His insurers, Adrian Flux, were of no help at all in getting him and car back and have passed the buck re the claim ever since. The second concerns a break-down in France when RH were by all accounts brilliant, provided another car straight away and shipped the Stag back quickly and no fuss. For insurers it's all about brilliant cash flow (money for nothing until the claim comes in....) and so it's worth noting actual experiences rather than going on price or promotional statements by the insurers, be they brokers or direct providers.

That sounds like a 10/10 for RH then eh. How annoying for the owner to have his car smashed up then an insurance provider uninterested in doing what you`ve paid for them to do. As i said above, it`s a con! I hope all is good now.
