Ok if you need advice about fitting new trailing arm bushes. …. Here goes…
I had to do some. I had little time to do them due to mot and a trip.
i had spares in rubber and poly.
i released the trailing arm.
i used an 8 mm drill to drill out the old bush.
i attempt ed to fit new rubber bushes using a pull in tool.
no chance… would not go.
swapped over to try new poly bush…. Slid straight in.

Jacked up on the big rear subframe mount.
Released jacked up subframe onto a stand with wood.
released trailing arm bolts x2
pulled the arm free from the subframe brackets.
bit of a tug needed.
began drilling (recall 8mm cobalt drill)
pulled out remains of the bush.
cleaned up the alloy trailing arm bush hole.
pushed in new poly bush (bare)
pushed in tube / sleeve.
aligned trailing arm to brackets (hardest part)
required a pointed tool / old stout screwdriver
refitted bolts x 2.
hope that helps?Last edited by jbuckl; 9 November 2024, 22:53.

Yes mate!! Exactly the same for me (as you may have seen on my blog!) - I knew very little about cars, let alone Stags when i first got mine, but I'm determined to do everything myself and it has been a lifesaver for my wellbeing, and like you, saved my sanity! All the best with the bushes, they are tricky but don't give up!!Originally posted by SaintGeorge View PostThanks Chix, appreciate your time and help. I bought my Stag as a lockdown project at the start of the Covid pandemic, i wasnt too keen on the colour but its grown on me and now i love it and i think it saved my sanity !!!!
By the way, I love the colour of your Stag!
