Hi guys it’s me again! Is there a fuel pickup in the tank? Or does the fuel just get sucked out by the pump?

You will need to remove the four screws holding the tank down - the pickup pipe won't come all the way out unless you tilt the tank a little because the top of the pipe fouls on the bodywork. If the car has ben out of use for a while it's probably worth taking the tank out for a wash around with some paraffin to get any crud out. Also check the bottom for rust damage - mine has a brazed bottom plate fitted !Originally posted by NeilR View PostYes, unscrew the nut holding the pipe in, it has an olive on. The pipe should just pull out, it's probably nearly a foot long.
I think it comes out with the tank in situ but can't be 100% sure.Last edited by mole42; 10 October 2024, 18:02.Richard
