    Touch up paint

Can any suggest or recommend where I might get ‘touch up’ paint for my Saffron Yellow Triumph Stag…?

A paint supplier local to me was able to scan the paintwork and mix up a rattle can with a perfect match. More accurate than quoting the paint code.

Google "automotive paint suppliers" then pick one local to you and call them to see if they can scan / match your car and then mix up an aerosol or small touch up pot. Most do. Last one I had done locally here in Kent cost £19.99 for a large aerosol of Direct Gloss paint (you need to ask for direct gloss if you don't want to have to apply lacquer over the top.

I actually removed my boot lid - easy to do only 4 bolts - and took that in, they scanned it and the paint was literally a perfect match. I also purchased a can of their recomended compatible primer as well.

As DJT says it is far better than trying to get paint to code as there is no telling that the paint on your car is correct to code or if it has faded over time.

Now Stagless but have numerous car projects
So many cars, so little time!
