I bought the bracket for relocating the alternator from Tony White as he mentioned having some difficulty in getting parts manufactured going forward. I think this is a common modefication. Any advice or tips on doing this would be much appreciated.

I bought the extension lead from EJ Wards. My alternator was already moved to the high mount position on the LHS. I am rewiring the car as the PO had totally botched it installing a cutoff switch for racing.
The new lead came with female terminals so I am puzzled about how to join it to the wiring loom as the new loom also has female terminals which would normally go to the alternator low on the RHS. Do I run the Ward’s lead directly from the alternator to the starter or do I change the terminals on the Ward’s lead to male?

The loom and extension lead have female connectors because, originally, there would have been a black plastic double male connector clamped to the battery positive lead near the bottom of the RH suspension turret. This was the subject of a near miss thread recently.
I've had my Stag for just over a year, done roughly 2500 miles in that time, though I'm using it a lot more this summer weather allowing. Up till the last couple of days it's performed perfectly and I'd got to the stage where I genuinely felt confident in it's performance and ability to get me places. The engine was rebuilt forDave
