Stainless steel exhausts

Hi everyone.
I'm rebuilding by back end and have decided to treat myself to a stainless steel exhaust.
However none of our traditional suppliers are showing as having a complete system in stock and after speaking to Paddocks this morning it sounds like they haven't got a manufacturer anymore.
So question is - how likely can I mix and match stainless sections from different shops - I can buy from EJ Wards and Rimmers to make up a full system but will they fit each other?
The part numbers seem similar which seems hopeful.

One of the biggest suppliers of SS exhausts for the Stag is/was Double S Exhausts, Devon. Excellent quality and lifetime guarantee. I don't know if they still supply direct, but may be worth contacting them. I bought a system for my previous Stag ex-works and they honoured their guarantee when one section split 9 years later. My current Stag came to me in 2008 with a Double S system already fitted, and it is still good.
Don't forget Robsport. They list Double S exhausts.

I can speak from experience on this one , I had to mix and match and I found that the tolerances at the connections are different, so on mine I had to use aluminium exhaust tape around a couple of the male sections to build up the looseness , probably 2 wrap thickness , I know it’s not ideal but has done the job for me . My SS exhaust came from Bell Steel Fabrications Ltd many years ago, at that time they sold direct but I'm not sure whether they still do - some of the stockists seem to stock them for certain classics but I've not found them listed for Stags. I guess Stag ones might be special order either direct from Bell or via a stockist https://www.bell-steel.co.uk

Robsport are OOS and Rimmers not due a delivery before Xmas so I think i'll wait for the New Year.
Hopefully more chance of buying a complete set by then.
No hurry to get back on the road atm.

I fitted Tony’s sport silencers and 316 downpipes from rimmers.

the rest was is an old set from rimmers in 304 stainless iirc.

sounds just right.

fit from downpipe to silencers ….. cough….. suits disassembly if that’s a polite way to say it? Aka a bit short.

Since I live close to both towns it seems rude not to take advantage.
I know there was nothing coming up when i checked eBay last week but this is serendipidous (sp)
I can always replace individual bits if necessary, ie the tail pipes perhaps.
