    Throttle pedal position

Hi all, if driving an hour or so I get uncomfortable with the pedal position (size 12 feet) anybody else have this issue, if so, have you cured it or made it easier?
Everything is nice and free moving, it just seems the position is wrong for me!

I find them a bit close together on my LHD manual, I have a pair of “stability” trainers that have fairly wide soles and have decided not to wear them driving the stag.. pedals are maybe offset a bit too.

I have slightly smaller feet and find that they are okay on longer road trips but I have some narrower trainers that I use for competition work - they help with left-foot braking.

My Stag is currently disassembled so nothing to reference - space/ clearance limitations etc. But from this, I do know that the accelerator is mounted to the bulkhead separately from the main pedal box that holds the Brake & Clutch Pedals ( the latter for manuals only). The Accelerator is a simple metal rod construction so depending on the clearance to the right (A-post and inner sill) it could be reshaped to suit with a little localised heat and bending once removed from the car - 2 bolts and the cable connector.

You could even consider fitting the left foot rest which attaches to the gearbox tunnel (if not already ) for long journeys. There are threads on the Forum covering this topic.

thanks. It’s a RHD Auto, I’ve moved the seat back about 2†& lowered it as far as I can, maybe I should sit as high as I can so’s that I’m more “on top†of the pedal. I suppose it doesn’t help trying to have as light as possible weight on the pedal for mpg purposes!

Why does the reply not correspond with my typing?

Some forum software is unhappy with apostrophes from some devices. Are you using a 'phone or tablet to reply?

But don't worry, we know what you mean.

It’s a setting on the phone that causes that.

I don't suppose you know what that setting is? It is a big problem on another forum I frequent, where the software simply deletes all text following an apostrophe.

ISTR that you go to Settings => General => Keyboard and deselect Smart Punctuation. (Apple products)
