That’s what I’ve been using ever since I measured the torque to turn …. Found these gave the lowest. Also realised they were the factory oem part.

I also found this which is really similar , but about 2.something mm taller.

I tried to modify one to make it match the stag height…. Unsuccessful though

Perhaps US equity firms are inspired by the likes of Slater Walker ( mid 60's to mid 70's in the UK) - notorious for asset stripping some great manufacturing companies back in the day.

I wonder if that means the "Lifetime Guarantee" on the full stainless exhaust system I bought from Rimmers for my Land Rover way back in 1997 is now worthless??? I did notice the tail pipe looking a little ragged around the edges the other week. Be really annoying as I have been carefully looking after the receipt for the last 28 years, I was looking forward to claiming at some point.

I was in the same boat with a life time (on the same vehicle) warranty for a Samson battery. Unipart went bust before I could take the offer up. :-(

The Rimmer brothers ceased to have significant control and Gaynor Rimmer was terminated as Secretary on 8 April 2024

Radial Automotive Buyer UK Ltd. became a person of significant control on that same date, Chris Wrigley and David Ford were appointed as directors on August 30th 2024 the same day as the Rimmer brothers were terminated as Directors.

A similar story exists for Moss-Europe Limited.

That is really important and significant information. But many family firms take the money and retire to the Bahamas (or such). Has happened to a number of "Family Brewers".
