Custom-made Wind Deflector

I have a folding soft top Stag and considering adding the Rimmer Bros Custom-made Deflector.
Can anyone who has fitted this accessory, please tell me if it interfers with the up and down operation of the hood or not?

Mine doesn't. I usually leave it in place when touring and folkd the hood up or down as required.

If you want something slightly cheaper, the deflector from an Audi A4 convertable fits nicely (one on Ebay for £40 at the mo). You have to fix 2 velcro straps to it to attach it to the T bar and a couple of modified bolts to slot it into the hard top location holes in the B post. It also covers the back seat which is good.. but it does have to be taken off to fix the hood. Takes >1 minute and folds into something the size of a brief case (and has a handy bag to store it in)..

I have the perspex one, if that's the one you are considering. It stays in place all the time, as long as you don't need to use the rear seats.

Out of interest, how do you zip up/ unzip the soft top rear window with the deflector in place?

Release the rear catch, then reach under. Some soft top zips have a slider accessible from outside and inside.

That’s how I do mine. I have attached a piece of bootlace to the inside slider to make it easier to pull the zip along while reaching under from outside.
