    Hard top Stand

I appreciate this has been discussed previously, however has anyone had any experience with the following stand from Amazon ?

any positive or negative feedback would be appreciated

I have considered a hoist but don’t really want to go down that route.

    thanks

I bought one off same vendor on EBay last week. I left it on my ‘watchlist’ for a couple of weeks and they made an offer of £89.99 inc delivery.
Arrived day after order. Very pleased with stand. Didn’t but the fitted cover, an old blanket is doing the job and it is £99.99 cheaper!

I have the same, mine came with a plastic cover. It works fine and makes moving the hard top around the garage a doddle.

Mine came from Germany though. Assume you’ll get custom taxed to death if you order from EU…

I bought a stand which looks the same, though I can't recall exactly where I bought it from. There was a slight problem with it in so far as one of the captive nuts welded inside one of the box sections was misaligned and I had to take a round file to it so that I could fit the associated bolt. And despite making sure I put the right pieces in the right places, it wouldn't sit with all the wheels on the ground without a slight adjustment to some of the pieces.

I have one of these (bought from ebay), had the same issue with the frame bolting together with a twist. Partly adjusted with the addition of some washers under the raised casters. However sits evenly on all four when the weight of the hardtop is in situ.
Does an adequate job for the price so would give it a thumbs up

Thank you all - all seems pretty positive and worth giving it a go then !

I will report back when mine arrive to see if I have similar issues to those mentioned.

Stand arrived today, very easy to put together, very sturdy and easy to move around the garage

                    Dazza, I have garage envy.

only single car garage here, so had to put a winch in.

4” square wooden post 9 ft long (used) , fabricated metal wall brackets, halfrauds roof rack (transit?) 2nd hand £10, eBay hand winch £12.50 2x pulleys with roller bearings and brackets about £27 all in fitted.

tbh I don’t really like the hardtop , never used it…. But it’s part of the car…. Now it’s out of the way.

My hard top goes on the car at Michaelmas, comes off and is hoisted into the garage roof at Easter. One man job, nothing to get in the way over the Summer.

Similar here. Took it off this morning. I much prefer driving the Stag with the hard top on than with the soft top up.

Thats a very tidy Stag - looks great with the red & black combo. Im a big fan of the look with the hard top on.
