    weeping

IMG_3181.jpg So I do have a weeping pump. Guessing o rings but hoping it's not the impeller seal as I fitted the high quality one and made sure the impeller seal surface was good. Fluid loss is pretty minimal but I think is getting worse. Pressure testing show a drop from 15 to 10 psi takes about an hour so do not a huge issue at the moment.

That’s surprising after such a short space of time. If you used the Remington seal, I doubt it’s that (). Did you use viton O rings Chris?

The impellor face usually has to be skimmed.

it has to be perpendicular to the shaft too, with minimal run-out.

sometimes the seal will bed-in, depending on conditions.

Thanks both, leaning towards the impellor as I did not have it skimmed (thought it looked ok) so will be getting one machined by Julian ready to fit when I get round to it :-)
