    Gearbox oil cooler

    I am looking to replace oil cooler (gearbox)on a 77 auto - do I need a type 35 or a type 65 please ??

    Hi Paul, it's the same part no for both BW35 and BW65 (311231) but it appears in two places in the April 1978 parts book, page 04-13 for BW35 and page 03-23 for BW65.

      Tip - one end (the non pipe union end) of the cooler should be fitted with rubber biobbins to allow contraction/expasnion of the cooler matrix. In case your old one wasn't (like mine, which was why it broke).
      Header tanks - you can't beat a bit of bling.
