    Removeable oil cooler pipe clips

Hello all, I wanted to find a way to fix the pipe the clips for the auto gearbox oil cooler pipes (311295, 311296) where they run along the chassis rail on the right hand side of the engine that would allow me to easily remove and refix later.

Here's my anorak solution based on the the Bresco twin pipe clip (CAC387), this nicely accepts twin pipes with 5/16 inch outside diameter . I had a small stock of 10-32 UNF rivnuts with low profile heads, and some 10-32 UNF x 1 1/2 inch socket head countersunk bolts, so used these to fix the clips to the chassis but shortened the bolts to 1 1/8 inch. The hole through the Bresco clips needed to be very slightly drilled out, and the countersink slightly enlarged, to achieve a good fit with the bolt. The existing holes in the chassis legs needed to be enlarged to 19/64 inch to accept the rivnuts. The bolts take a 1/8 inch hex driver.

    Nice.

    did similar.

used a nylon plate against the chassis

    used an m4 rivnut

    used a stamped metal double - u - clip.

Ah yes ... the nylon plate avoids metal-to-metal contact ... I might steal your idea
