Time to replace my tyres currently running 185/70 14.that are about 15 years old but looks almost unused with only nominal mileage. What should I buy?
    Any help appreciated.

    195 / 70 / 14 is a reasonable alternative size if you’re unable to get 185 / 80 / 14.

avoid van tyres if you get offered them…. Too many plies.

I have just had a set of four 185/80/18 Hankook Optimo K715 tyres (not van! ) fitted by a local stockist for £336 all in. Made in Hungary, they have a good reputation, and so far I am very pleased with their general performance. I had been using 195/70/14 for some time as the correct size was hard to find, and usually very expensive. I just thought they looked a bit small in the wheel arches, so these new ones have put that right.

Sure its a typo but they would fill the arches at 18" diameter

A typo indeed. for 18", read 14".Old age is tedious.

I have Firestone Multihawk 2 175/80 R14 H (88) on my stag, pretty happy with them, would be even happier if I had time to drive the car.
