      Steve, those cables do not look to be in good condition. Whether that has a bearing on the drainage problem, I can’t say, but certainly the cables and connections need to be repaired.

        Hi Dave, yes all going to be replaced and any other wiring that’s damaged that I find today. Cheers Steve

          New crimps can be made with new connectors, but the tool is about £30.

          solder repair is possible.

          new crimps recommended though.

          pet hate is wiring bodges… stag attracts them it seems

            Hi Julian, many thanks for reply. All I seem to be finding at the moment is wiring bodges. I have temporarily cut bad cable from alternator harness and resoldered just to see if that was the cause of battery drain, but connected back up still draining. So I will keep digging. Cheers Steve
