Great race meeting, hordes of folk there, bloody hot Friday and Saturday, wet Sunday.
Now in Normandy having "done" Mont St Michel today (knees complaining), D Day museums and sites tomorrow, Bayeux tapestry Weds.
Car running very well.

Quite envious Wilf. Took my Java green Stag in that area when substituted the Alvis in the Fougères rally in 2013. This was a dry run before heading to the Alps later that year - and suffering the broken cam shaft. Now just when the weather is fantastic need the knocking noise on overrun sorted.
To compensate we head that way again but in a daily driver next month.

You forgot to say it was very noisy!!! I didn't get a lot of sleep Saturday night (or Thursday and Friday either)
Sunday was only wet until lunch time, made for some "interesting" racing on a damp track in the afternoon.
The TSSC campsite on Tertre Rouge on the edge of the circuit was superb, doubly so as I managed to get a replacement front wheel bearing for the mullered one on the Warwick, all fitted and sorted by mid morning on the Friday.
We went out Sunday evening for a meal and drove along the Mulsanne Straight, stopped at one of the chicanes and collected few lumps of tyre rubber as a souvenir
Fantastic spectacle and a great drive back through France despite a few sessions of torrential rain, managed to catch an earlier ferry and was back home by 6pm
Only downside was 85 euros on tolls, but the French roads are so much better than hereNow Stagless but have numerous car projects

Home now with 770 miles under her wheels. No tolls for us
as we avoided the Autoroutes. French toads are uniformly wonderful, even their equivalent of our "B" roads.
