It was brought to my attention last week that a Stag was going to auction in Scotland. I followed this up after the auction and it was LD 47 Reg No. RWG 1 H first registered 1st July 1970.
It has been untaxed since October 1988, It had a bare metal respray in the 1990's and had been garaged ever since. I assume mechanical works were done before the respray and it had a replacement Mk 2 hood, the car looked good from the pictures.
It Sold for £2000

That's donor car money! Even a rough Stag is priced at at least 10-15k€ over here. If you are looking to buy and bring someone who knows what to look for, auction does seem like a good bet.

If I had the space I'd buy a donor car. Would save a fortune in parts. The divorce would be costly though!
