I have had good and bad experiences with shiply.

chain smoking Baltic state lads with a number plate on the beavertail that didn't show up on anything govt website related and a twin axle trailer shifted 4 Range Rovers from north of Hull to North Devon for me. Massively over weight, would have been over tacho time too. It was an interesting event but they came through, I tipped them big time for that job. The company they operated under was UK registered, lots of great reviews but nerve racking all the same.

Had a **** transit van with a couple of big lads and the extended family gurning at me out of the windows turn up to shift some parts. The sort of lads who you give a lot of respect to but don't fawn over if you get my drift.

2 transports never turned up at all. but then 3 very positive trips.

I have a few companies that i use regularly.

I'm very interested in buying my first Stag with an asking price of £7500 for a 1975 model. Although I've not yet seen the vehicle apart from pictures as the Stag is apparently rust proofed and in great condition does this price seem too cheap? I've seen prices of £20K-£30K.
The only point to make it does not have the original 3 Litre engine but a Rover V8 3500cc, so does this devalue the Stag?
Thanks for any help you can give me
      Hi Steve,

Check out the For Sale / Wanted / Swap section on here as a member has listed details of his car to sell AND he's virtually up the road from you in Stockport. Depends on your budget. Easy location for you and can gauge just what you get for your money with a looked after example.

Yes I've noticed the price reduction so I'm very interested. I'm hoping to meet Nick on Sunday at the classic car show at Capesthorne to see if anyone close to Old Windsor can view/test drive with me, as its a 400 mile trip for me. I really need someone who knows Stags inside out to make sure the car is sound enough for the price.
The other issue is if I like the car I don't fancy driving it 200 miles back home without wipers, handbrake and any other problems, so i would feel safer to trailer it.
I have a LANDROVER which i could tow it with but would need to hire a car transporter but unsure of the cheapest way to do it.
            Any suggestions would be appreciated.

AnyVan have quoted £266 to to transport the Stag on a low loader which sounds reasonable and better than having to hire a car transporter and tow it 200 miles myself?

Sounds worth the money to me, saving you all the hassle and fuel cost of a tiresome 400 mile round journey AND hire of a car trailer on top. Think I paid about £120 a few decades back for Autoshift to collect my Stag on his low loader from SE London/Kent and back to Hertfordshire, about 130 mile round journey.
