At last Ive got the stone chip coating on and theres no reaction with the primer (see previous posts) now Ive got to get the colour coats onto the stone chip,re fit the rear suspension and drive shafts before next Friday in time for Runswick Bay Triumph weekend.

Been so close to cutting the sodding thing into pieces and getting rid but hopefully there is now some light at the end of the tunnel. Wifes been looking for a new car and I stumbled upon a Nissan 350Z coupe at a local dealers whilst we were out looking, shes not interested as sheneeds a four seater but Im smitten andhopingmyStag wins me back when I get it back on the road or I may be tempted.

Cheers Baz and thanks for the lift last night, well impressed with the way your Stag runs, seems to handle really well. Got some colour on mine tonight but darent do the side that reacted until its had at least a day to go off. Booked Monday off so hopefully will get the bloody thing back together over the next 3 days, will give you a call when I need a hand. Car will definately need a good valet when I get it back on all four wheels, cant afford the invisible touch treatment but might book it in for a clean locally as Im gonna be struggling to get it back on all four wheels and running as well as cleaned before Friday.

Looks better than when I startedbut its been a hard slog laid underneath stripping off underseal and then laid under the car painting.

Booked the day off work tomorrow in the hope that I can get this lot refitted:?. Again this has taken loads of work to get to this stage thanks to a previous respray where the sprayer couldnt be arsed to mask off properly resulting in the subframe and trailing arms which had been powder coated becoming covered in orange overspray. Now all redone.

Hmmn spare time cant seem to remember what that is, seem to have spent every weekend and many evenings laid under the Stag. Still got the middle and front to do but that will be done during the Winter but not looking forward to it at all.

Once I get the car back on all four wheels and out of the garageI reckon Ive got a weeks work tidying the garage up as theres crap everywhere and various shades of paint all over the floor.

Heres a pic of part of the sub frame prior to this rebuild. Annoyingly I had the sub frame and arms powder coated previously, then I had a bare metal respray at considerable cost and the white areas are overspray from the resprayso had to have em done again.

Cheers Baz, will give you a call tomorrow if thats ok. Gonna get it all bolted together tomorrow morning for fitting. Still seems a long way to go before its back on all four wheels though.
