Are there places in UK who can re-chrome these?

Hi Sujit, yes there are - however they usually like to look at them first, to assess condition, and will then tell you what result you can reasonably expect achieve. and what it will cost. I had mine done by Derby Plating http://www.derbyplating.co.uk/ but I'm sure others will suggest other places based on their own experience.

I had mine done locally, not anything that’s unusual for American vendors, the pot metal was used over here as well.. but like all chrome it ain’t cheap! I tried a repro for one corner and it was useless.

Maybe get some quotes here and see what UK vendors say next time you are over there?

Or Tony white seems to have some stuff that he gets re chromed worth a call?
